Our is staff is highly qualified, former pro and college athletes to put players through intense training and drills both on and off the ice. Coaches at NEXT UP are vastly experienced, superbly trained, and have passion for the game of hockey.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Ryan is a former NHL 1st Round Draft Pick, 7th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1992. He attended University of Michigan on a full athletic scholarship, playing for Red Berenson. He was the Captain of the U20 Team USA World Junior Team and won a Bronze Medal. In High School he was a standout at Nichols Prep School located in Buffalo, New York and played his youth hockey for the Buffalo Regal AAA program. His father, Darryl Sittler, is in the Hockey Hall of Fame. He now resides in Jupiter, Florida with Heather, Luke (14), Alec (15), and Bradyn (19). Luke plays 14UAA for the Palm Beach Breakers and for the NEXX UP Stealth Elite in the Spring/Summer months while Bradyn plays Junior A hockey in the USPHL for the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. Ryan also serves as Hockey Director for the Palm Beach Breakers and the IceWorks arena.

Justin is one of the top young coaches in South Florida. He began his hockey career playing hockey at the Palm Beach SkateZone for their travel teams: the Palm Beach Panthers, Predators, and Hawks. Has played the sport for 15 years. At at age 17 he moved to Portland, Maine to play Junior Hockey for the Portland Junior Pirates. The following year, he played in Canada for the Ottawa Junior Senators in the Canadian Junior hockey league. Finished his last year of juniors with the Palm Beach Hawks, where he was named Captain; was the first player to have his jersey retired.
